Position:

This individual will be responsible for the development of server-side logic, maintenance and definition of the organisation’s central database. He/she will have to manage the exchange of data between the server and the users.

The key responsibilities attached to this position include but are not limited to the following : 

• Participate in the entire application lifecycle, focusing on coding and debugging
• Write clean code to develop functional web application (documenting specifications)
• Manage cutting-edge technologies to improve legacy applications
• Collaborate with Front-end developers to integrate user-facing elements with server side logic

Location: 

You will be working remotely in liaison with the broad team members in the various locations.

Pre-requisites:

Must possess proven working experience in developing website applications from inception. Must fully understand the importance of meeting deadlines.  

Experience:

The candidate must have 2 (two) years working experience from a back end level. 

Knowledge:

• Great understanding of JavaScript, HTML, PHP, MySQL, JQuery, Laravel, Django and CSS preferred
• Strong Computer Skills (MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook and Internet)
• Linux, Unix and Windows Environments

• Experience participating in cross-functional projects

• Basic knowledge of VAS

Remuneration:

For the right candidate, remuneration will be commensurate with industry benchmarks, experience and performance (meritocracy) against set and agreed targets, with further opportunity to earn incentive bonuses, as designed from time to time.
